James A. Thatcher, B.S., D.C. has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in cellular biology from the University of Kansas and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic. After entering private practice, Dr. Thatcher completed a postgraduate, 2-year orthopedics program giving him 10 years of formal education. In July of 1999, Dr. Thatcher was appointed by Governor Bill Owens to the Colorado Board of Chiropractic Examiners for a four-year term. Dr. Thatcher was appointed again in 2003 to another four-year term by Governor Owens.

He and four other members of the Board were responsible for the regulation of about 2,200 chiropractic licenses statewide. Dr. Thatcher has maintained a full time practice in Colorado Springs since 1992.  As a chiropractor in Colorado Springs, I frequently provide whiplash injury treatment, sciatica treatment, pinched nerve treatment, posture correction, neck therapy/treatment, herniated disk treatment or bulging disc treatment via chiropractic health models in an effort to provide back pain relief or neck pain relief.  Dr. Thatcher is certified in Dry Needle Technique.
